About the Conference

Despite the advancement of allopathic medicine, the poor, especially in Africa and Asia still depends on traditional medicine due to remoteness and lack of regular access to essential drugs. Traditional medicine therefore offers a major and accessible source of treatment and continues to play an important role in health care management. In many parts of the world, traditional medicine is the preferred form of health care and remains the most easily available and affordable form of therapy in low income countries. Ironically, even in many parts of the developed countries, traditional medicine is also increasingly becoming popular, often providing complementary or alternative medicine.
